The Finance Ministers of the 28 member States of the European Union prepared to discuss the multitude of problems of the market of digital assets, such as the lack of transparency, the use of cryptocurrency in money laundering, ease of tax evasion and potential terrorist financing. It is reported that, among other things, the EU is going to tighten trade rules for cryptocurrency. The draft law will be presented September 7 in Vienna.

Note that in June, Europol held a number of meetings with the largest European bitcoin exchanges, to develop more aggressive ways of combating crime in the trade of digital assets.

We will remind, recently the foreign Minister of Germany Heiko Maas said that the European Union needs to develop independent of the US interbank system of information transfer and payment, different from the American system SWIFT.
